July Rowing Newsletter

Hello Rowers,
  • Todd has stepped down from his position on the TACRboard. We appreciate all the time and effort he has contributed to our organization. We now  have a position open on the board and encourage anyone who is interested in joining the board to submit a resume to the board.
  • Volunteers needed to assist in a variety of tasks and events. Some of the things we need help with are: selling punch cards; updating emails; assist with 50/50 (Kate); assist with FB postings and advertising for events; row or cox for novice rowing; fund raising; grant writing. If you have suggestions or want to help please talk to a board member.
  • Rowing camp was so much fun and beneficial! Being on the water for 3 days definitely helps improve your skills. Mark Wilson is a great coach who is willing to come back again next year. Thanks Mark for an awesome camp and being a resource for us!
  • We love sharing our sport with new rowers! We had a great LTR in May and our next LTR is July 13th. This class is full.
  • We have more boats on the water this year than previous years. We encourage people to sign up for classes and team snap. This helps the coaches organize boats and know when they need to fill in a seat with another rower.
  • Grand Rapids has invited TACR to there scrimmage regatta July 20th. This is for novice and intermediate rowers. If you are interested in racing please talk to Sue.
